Yes, Mudder

For most of my life, I’ve called my mom, “Mother” when she’s telling me something I’ve heard a 1000 times, or telling me something that I already know, or if I’m just plain annoyed. Typically, it’s “Yes, Mother”.

I didn’t realize how much I said it until Cale started calling me (and her) “Mudder” when he was annoyed or after I’ve told him to do something a 1000 times. For example on Sunday our conversation went like this:

Me: “Cale, are you ready yet?”
Cale: “Mudder, be patient.”
Me: “Cale, I’ve asked you 3 times already.”
Cale: “Mudder, I’m picking up my stuff”.

Me: Silently, I think….what have I created and how can he use MY lines on me!?!
