Chillin' in the jacuzzi

On Friday we made our way to Des Moines for the George Strait concert...while my mom and I went to the concert, uncle Ryan and Cale went swimming, played games and hung out in the hotel.  Cale loved the Jacuzzi in our room (we got the last 2 rooms in the entire hotel...so, Cale and I had a suite).  We ate The Spaghetti Works and at The Machine Shed (Saturday)...we also did some shopping (of course).

The concert was amazing.  Ronnie Dunn opened the program (played over an hour) and George played for 2 hours.  I can see why he is the entertainer of the year...again.  What a show!

Hoppy Easter!

We had a great Easter...everything from dying eggs, to searching for eggs and surprises from the Bunny.  The Bunny left a journal, a Lego set, Twizzler chap stick and mustaches. 

I keep a journal next to my bed because I've started "journaling" again...I told my mom I should create a "good" journal incase something happens to me...so she can destroy my real one.  Cale knows that I journal so he's wanted a journal to "write down when I'm sad or happy mommy".  The Bunny had a special journal made for Cale with a picture of his BFF's (Puppy, Peng, Baby Peng, Puck and Turtle).  The Bunny also knew Cale really likes to put together Legos with uncle Ryan so he left a police station set. 

Super Hero Day

Today is Super Hero Day....I asked Cale who his hero is and his reply was, "You are Mommy".  I said, "Cale, do you know what super hero means?"  His response:  "Yea, it's someone who fights bad guys and is good". 

ooooohhhhhhh

Then I asked if he wanted to dress up as me for school (high-heels, make-up, etc.).  His response, "Mommy, are you crazy?!".  I said, "No, I'm not crazy, I thought it was a good idea".  He said, "Whatever you think". 

HAHAHA!!

And, yes, I noticed his zipper was down after I took all the pictures.  :-)

Crazy Sock Day

Color Day

This week is "Week of the Young Child" at pre-school.  Today, all 4 year-olds have to wear the color blue.

Spring is here...or at least flower cupcakes are...

I saw the coolest cupcake recipe in a magazine so I attempted to make them...to my surprise, they actually turned out!  My new recipes never turn out...they either look terrible or taste terrible or both.

Time-Out

Puck ended up in time-out on Sunday...apparently, he was picking on baby-peng.  I asked how long he had to be in time-out and Cale said, until this hour glass is done.  A WHOLE HOUR!  Poor Puck.

Career Day - Officer Clark

Today is career day at pre-school.  I asked Cale a couple weeks ago what he wants to be when he grows up, he said, "mommy, a cop so I can arrest bad guys and give people speeding tickets".
