Sea World

We started our vacation at Sea World on Saturday, December 14th. Our 1st stop was a picture with Shamu. Next, we made our way to THE POLAR EXPRESS. On our way there, we walked through 100's of Christmas trees that were in the water. Riding the train was an awesome experience...we were on a journey to the North Pole aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS. It was like we were in the movie...everything from the sights, sounds and smells. At the North Pole Santa was waiting for us. Cale liked talking to Santa, watching the white whales and checking out the sea lions.

After visiting with Santa we went to Antarctica, Empire of the Penguins. This ride took us to the South Pole...where we saw Antarctica through the eyes of a baby penguin named Puck. At the end of our tour we got to spend some time with real penguins....in 32-degree weather!

Our next stop was at the Dolphin Theater to watch the Blue Horizons show. There were quite a few dolphins, tropical birds and acrobats. After the dolphin show, we headed to the One Ocean show where we saw numerous killer whales doing amazing "tricks". Cale's favorite part of both shows is when the dolphins and whales used their tail to splash the crowd.

We checked out TurtleTrek, a 3D 360° show that takes us into the life journey of a sea turtle. From hatching on a beach and making the mad dash to open waters to the dangers and hazards they face as they get older and return to the very same beach to lay their own eggs. We experienced what it was like to "be a turtle" and learn about the incredible journey they face throughout their lives. We also spent some time at the Stingrays...I couldn't believe it, Cale actually touched one.

We ended the day at the Sky Tower...where we took a 400-ft ride into the air.

Cale's favorites: shopping in the "penguin store", watching the dolphin show and going to the North and South Poles.
